What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the true and perfect Word of God. It teaches us how to live and what to believe. Everything we do and believe should follow what the Bible says.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17)
One God in Jesus Christ
There is only one God. He showed Himself to us as the Father, came to earth as the Son—Jesus Christ—and works in us through the Holy Spirit. When we see Jesus, we are seeing God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)
Salvation in Jesus Christ
Everyone has sinned and needs to be saved. We are saved by God’s grace when we put our faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. Salvation is only found through Him.
(Romans 3:23-25; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Gospel and New Life
The gospel means “good news.” It’s an announcement of His kingdom Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. We follow this message by repenting of our sins, being baptized in Jesus’ name, and receiving the Holy Spirit. This is the New Testament way to start a new life with God.
(Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Speaking with Tongues
When someone receives the Holy Spirit, they will speak in other languages, just like believers did in the Bible. This is a miraculous sign that God’s Spirit is now living inside them.
(Acts 2:4; Acts 19:6)
Living A Holy Life
God calls us to live holy and pure lives. This means honoring Him in our thoughts, words, and actions. We love God and love others, and the Holy Spirit helps us live in a way that pleases God.
(Hebrews 12:14; Galatians 5:22-23)
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth. It is made up of all believers who have been born again. The Church exists to worship God, teach His Word, help each other grow, and share the good news of Jesus with the world.
(Ephesians 4:11-16; Acts 2:42-47)
Communion and Foot Washing
We practice communion to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us. We also wash one another’s feet at times, just as Jesus did, to show love and humility.
(Luke 22:19-20; John 13:12-17)
Marriage and Family
We believe marriage is a special promise between one man and one woman. Families are a part of God’s plan and are meant to honor Him.
(Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:31-33)
Holiness in Lifestyle
Holiness shows both in our hearts and in how we live. As we grow in Christ, we aim to be modest, pure, and different from the world. Our lives should reflect who Jesus is.
(1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:1-2)
God’s Power Today
We believe God still works in powerful ways. He still heals, performs miracles, and shows signs to help and strengthen His people through faith in Jesus.
(Hebrews 13:8; 1 Peter 2:24)
Jesus is Coming Back
Jesus is coming again to take His church to be with Him. This will take place before a time of great tribulation. After that, there will be a final judgment. Those who followed Jesus will live forever with Him, and those who didn’t will be separated from God forever.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
