Pastor Gordon Richardson was born in Oceanside, California. He grew up in Revival Taberancle of San Diego, Pastored by Rev. David Gray. At the age of 6, he received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name. In 1969 Gordon Richardson served in the Army. God spoke to him about serving Him wile sitting at a train station in Denmark. That was a turning point of his life. Upon returning Home he rededicated his life to God.
Two years later at the age of 22, Gordon received his license to preach with the United Pentecostal Chruch International. Preaching with fervency on street corners, parks and in front of bars, Rev. Richardson began his ministry for God. He soon became assistant pastor for Rev. Berl Stevenson of El Cajon, California. While assisting, he met and married Sandie Craft of Fresno.
The Richardson's left El Cajon to assist Rev. Paul Price of Napa. There they assisted for about five years before pastoring their first church. They have 3 children, Justin, Aaron and Amy.
Pastor Richardson has been ministering for over thirty seven years. He has served on serveral boards for the Western District, and is currently the Western District Home Missions Secretary. Also serves as the CEO of the AACTS (Adolescents, Adults Choosing True Solutions) program. Which is a faith-based educational and recovery program.
For the past 25 years, Rev. Richardson has pastored here at Tabernacle of Praise in Manteca. He has ministered in conferences both locally and internationally. He has been involved with the community of Manteca, and was a charter Board Member of Give Every Child a Chance, and is a Senior Pastor in the Community.
